engine Block I.D.
My engine block # is 399289. Then there is CM8T. What is the CM8T? The first is a 454 but I have no idea about the CM8T. Does the 399289 supply any other info besides the 454?
The tranny # is 3925660. Can anyone supply me with any info from that #?

That's rumored to be the thickest production casting number but I don't know that I've ever seen any kind of scientific survey on any of 'em. Since it's one of the earlier 454 castings, it should be thicker anyway. Build away, properly prepared it should support just about anything you can throw at it on the street and more than a mildly beefed IRS can handle at the track.
