Default matching head numbers?

Hello. I have a 1980 Corvette L-82. The number on my left head is 462624. Under it is C210. Are these correct for that year? Should the first number match part of the VIN number? Thanks! JG700

The casting numbers do not match a VIN number in any way. Never do.

Those head numbers are the right castings for your engine if they are original to the car.

The "C210" is:

C=March

The "21"= 21st

So if your engine was assembled some time soon after those heads were cast, they probably are original to the car.

The "0"=1980

The #s on the rear of the block, behind the intake manifold, are C280, so I guess they are original.
