I thought I would share some photos of my engine rebuild. I was a novice on engines, but I have a friend who can break it down and rebuild it with his eys closed.
I decided to keep the 1980 L48 coupe all original, so I rebuilt the engine instead of putting a crate in it. All parts were in great shape except the crankshaft. I replace it with a new one.
I learned so much about the engine and accessories, I have no problem working on my car now. Great experience!
I have my own web site if you want to visit it. I have lots of information on corvettes too. Please check it out: http://www.80vette.jlwag.net/

I did a top end rebuild on mine with some supervision from a friend and it was a great time. I can now take one apart and put it back together too. Yours is looking really good.
