3M Strip Caulk
Great item to have in the garage or shop. Use it on all your access panels, under trim and etc.

I used it to seal my evaporator box, works excellent and really easy to apply. Very handy to have in your garage.

I used it to adhere the plastic vapor barriers between the inner door panels and the door on my 68.
Just like the original stuff,

If you have never tried it, get a box. It is cheap and has 60 1' strips. I just picked up a new box and it was $10.

Where did you get it? My local carcraft parts store needed to order it and it was 15.00! I didn't order it yet.

I use a local 3M distributor. It is a auto paint/body supply store. Use the "Where to buy" in the link above and see who carries it for your location.
My local NAPA could order it, but it was $17 and some change. Still worth it though even at that price.

No longer have 100 degree heat in car. Now have the same temp as outside air.
Great stuff

Hi, Yep that strip-caulk is good stuff but isnt really waterproof if in direct contact with water as a constant thing . Most large auto parts stores that carry 3-M products can order it if they dont keep it in stock. Peace,,,Moosie

It comes in two colors; black and white.
I found that it was difficult to apply since it's pretty soft out of the box - sticks to your fingers, etc. I put it in the deep freeze for a while until it gets stiffer - say the consistency of thick modeling clay. This made it a lot easier to apply.
