Default 1967 Engine codes

Hello, I am new the site and needing some help. Looking at a '67, block number is T0917IT. I realize it is a HD block but there are numbers that follow: T0917IT 6101472, I am not familiar with seeing the number after the IT. If anyone could point me in the right direction as to there meaning or better yet if someone knows what they mean. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance
Steve

Steve,

You'll probably get quicker/better responses if you post in the "C1 & C2" section.

T Tonawanda (NY) engine assembly plant. All Corvette big blocks were assembled at Tonawanda.

0917 Engine assembly date, September 17th

IT Engine suffix code for L-88

6101472 Should be the VIN sequence of the car this engine was originally installed in. I do not recognize 6101472.

C2 and NCRS folks should be able to help. An L-88 will light up eyes just about everywhere.

Go here for 1967 codes.

http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...1967/67id.html

Sept 1966 would be a good date for the 1472nd Corvette built for 1967.

Could that 6 an "S"
