"Yes - thankfully the car was recovered by the Elk River police. No arrests, it was found in a field near Elk River, had only been there a matter of hours at most. Some damage, not too severe but it hasn't been run yet. That's really about all I know. I tucked it a long ways away from home for now, not sure what's next for it other than arranging for the insurance adjuster to look at it. Hopefully that won't create another hassle. The police think that it's very likely that all of the attention I drew to it made it undesirable for the thieves. At least they didn't hurt it as much as they could have but it's obviously been through something. The thieves kind of took away the fun of owning it, at least for now. Maybe if it's buried for a year or two I'll feel differently. My wife says "no more Corvettes around here".

Glad to hear it's back safe and mostly sound. Hopefully you won't run into any troubles with insurance. I certianly can understand the fun of owning it not being so good right now, but don't let the bad guys win. Get it fixed up like it should be and enjoy it for many more years.
