Hello everyone, My name is Ryan, 27 Years old & living in Connecticut. Just purchased my FIRST corvette EVER! Always been my dream car & finally made that dream come true. She is a beautiful White 1974 Corvette Stingray, with a numbers matching 454 with a blower. Has a HURST 3 speed ratchet shift & rebuilt Turbo 400 transmission & line lock. Stock gears & rearend in there for now... But big plans in the future for a backhalf, full tubs, rebuiding the 454 to handle a bigger blower & most likely a cage to go with it all (just to be NHRA & IHRA approved). She needs a little TLC on the body, not much at all. But overall a great looking car!
This corvette began its life in the garage of my uncle's father. He always played with this car & took amazing care of her. This was HIS BABY! After passing away 10 years ago, my uncle inherited the corvette. For the past 10 years the vette has been sitting in my uncles garage getting a little less attention. He still loved the car, but missed his father more & more everytime he looked at it. After holding onto it for over 10 years, it came time to sell it. Times have gotten tough & money was needed. He really didn't want to get rid of her, especially to somebody out of the family, but he had no other options. I was the first person he asked to purchase the car he loved so much. He had to look no further, I was his buyer instantly. I was honored to have been asked to take on this irreplaceable piece of property. So here I am now, with my shiny corvette just waiting to finish her up. This car deserves a good makeover & I will certainly be providing that in the years to come... But for now, it's summertime, the car looks great & I WILL BE CRUISING ALL SUMMER! I have plenty of cold weather ahead to put her in the garage & start the work.
I will post pics of the vette as soon as i take some, so stay tuned to see my beautiful baby!
Welcome. Glad to see another enthusiastic young member. You will in fact be very welcome here and find that we're all working with you to make this new project all yours.
This corvette began its life in the garage of my uncle's grandfather.
If he's your uncle, then he's either your fathers borther or your mothers brother, and would have the same father as either of them, so this person would be your mother or father's grandfather too, and therefore your great grandfather, unles he's a half uncle, if there is such a thing. ok.

Not to be off subject, but a man could have married this guy's mom's sister, and would be his uncle. But this guy's dad would not be his great-grandfather. I suppose it could technically be a great-grandfather in law once removed or something like that . . .
