After 2 days of drying I can still dig my fingernail into the part i painted with por 15 and chassis coat black...what gives? I followed every instruction...how long does it take to harden?
POR-15 requires moisture to dry. The higher the humidity the faster it dries. How did you apply the product? (brush or spray) Was the POR-15 dry to the touch when you put on the Chassis Coat? How many coats did you put on? When I did my frame I rinsed the Metal Prep with water like the directions said and when I sprayed the POR-15 I found a few areas on the frame that were still damp. These areas took much longer to dry.

Give it some time. It'll harden if you stop poking at it!
I painted my lift with it and it took 4 days to dry - I think (actually I know) I didn't wait long enough between coats. I could still scrape the paint a month later. It is hard now but I couldn't lift a car without losing paint for some time.
I did my 72 frame and waited longer between coats and it dryed as advertised. Same garage and about the same time of year.
Over the last year or two of reading POR15 posts, I get the impression that POR15 is basically "SuperGlue" with pigments added. SuperGlue hardens in the presence of atmospheric moisture. If you are using POR 15 and it's taking a lot of time to harden, I'd wonder if you're using he paint in a very low humidity environment.
I've gotten POR15 on my hands before and it does act just like Superglue. It has that same stickey and then hardening feeling. I'm curious that your experience with POR15 is that it left a "tacky" texture.
