Has anyone else ever dealt with a situation like this.....
I was at Gander Mt. getting my hunting license. Afterward, while heading to the car, a woman pulls up and asks me if it is for sale. I said "No." She said, "Are you surrrrrrrrrrrrrrre." I said, "Yes, I'm sure."
The attention these C3's get is unbelievable. It didn't have a "For Sale" sign or anything, it's like bees to honey.
I had a crack head offer me 15k for an 80 I had a few years ago. I told him it wasn't worth what he offered but I would take 10k for it. He crawfished big time.
Was stranded on the side of the road once. Three different people stopped while I waited for the tow truck. The first 2 were just checking if I needed help. The third stuck around for about 30minutes. He wanted to buy the car. I told him it was not for sale. He gave me his name and number and said to call him if I ever decide to sell it.
Gotta love it....even when it is dead on the side of the road
Every Vette owner needs to determine how much he/she would be willing to take for their car at any time. It can be a number much larger than the car is really worth, but sometimes fools show up as "opportunity". I've put two years of work into my '71, but I'll sell it in a heatbeat to anyone [seriously] willing to drop $30K. That's what I tell all the folks who ask. One of these days, someone with too much money will ask me "How much?".... and I'll be ready!
