I'm new to the site. Just wondering what is the best and safest way to clean the engine on my 77 vette. Should I cover anything up so it doesn't get wet? Thanks

First off, welcome! I've used a can of Gunk Engine Cleaning Foam. The foam stays on there a little longer and gives the chemical a little more time to eat up the heavy stuff.

That works, I also use a pressure washer if it needs a lot of cleaning.
