so yesterday i was installing my BRAND NEW door panels...and while trying to line a screw up with the hole in the door...i put a screwdiver sized hole in my brand new friggin door panel....this truly sucks
Last year I put a small jab in my new dash pad, it was in the passenger side area where the two screws going in........you can't see with the door shut it but it still bothered me for a few weeks. Then I realized life is too short and that time can be spent enjoying your car
From: Show me a cold beer and I will show you a happy man Maryland
That sucks, but that first ding, rip, or dent always does. I am sure it still looks good and maybe look into a repair kit to make it look a little better. Take ride and you will feel better than have a beer and you will feel much better
Oh, and fotyfo....You got any of them french fried pertaters

If you want to fix it stop by a dealership and go to the used cars and ask who their vinyl repair guy is and get a phone number. Most of these guys work out of a van and go from dealer to dealer and can fix it and get the color and texture right. You can check the yellow pages but the best guys I have found work for the dealers. My guy works out of an old VW bus and is an Artist !!!
I had to clearance the plastic back panel on my new door panels for the SPAL power steering kit. I was nervous about the work, didn't want to punch a hole through the front.
ya, i'll have to see if i can find a repair guy, it's not big and i'm sure i'll forget about it, it's a small tear, but enough to **** ya off. i threw a little super glue on there so it didnt spread and called it good for now.
Call up a car dealership. They have interior repair folks at their "beck and call". If you've done business with a dealer or know someone in that business, they should be able to hook you up.

I think you meant Spal Power Window Kit I hope. Are you one of the members I recommended the Spal Power Window Kits to? Just curious because I did 2 installations of these Spal Kits on 2 of my work Vans and someone here was looking to install power windows and I gave them the Spal info in a thread here a few months back.
Anyway if not how did the kit work out in your Corvette?

D'oh! You're right...power windows. I've almost got the kit installed, the way the window crank towers sit in relation to the door panels made it a bit interesting but not impossible. I mounted the motors behind the lower access panel, then cut a small notch in the cover for the drive cables.

Keep us up to date when you are finished and post some pictures if you will. I am curious although I haven't thought about doing mine. I can say one thing though and that is that SPAL has a nice kit that they put out for the money. Well worth it. One of my trucks has the kit inside of it going on 3 years now and they work great just like factory power windows. The other Van has them in for almost a year now. Work perfectly.
