Kinda like a reverse morph of the C1 into the C2 when the early 60's cars (60 - 62??) had the C2-ish rear with the C1 front. You gonna put chrome bumpers on the rear or do some cool custom molded affair?
I think you have the majority of the Forum Member's backing you on this one. Always a couple of nay sayers.
Go for it and keep us posted with lots of photos.
Correct. The car is a 1977. As far as the hood, I have a flip front end with an L-88 hood. I'm really amazed at how some of the body lines match up. I should have the front end trial fitted by the end of the weekend. The buttresses are going. Will have a roof line similar to a c3vert hardtop.
I photoshopped it to a the ride height I plan and wanted to see it with larger diameter wheels. I have a set of staggered 19" tires that I will be putting on it. Thanks for all of the positive comments.

Cool. I really like it, and yes I think your crazy.
You probably already know this, but when comparing to the rendering, it looks like the rear clip needs to come down another 3 or 4 inches so the "bumper", fenders, and wheel openings are at the right height in relation to the center of the rear axle. At that point the rear deck won't line up, but I would worry about the deck and butresses after the clip is set at the right height.
Keep it coming. You're inspiring me to chop my 82 into a vert.

I'm usually not big on grafting body parts from different generations, but this does look like it has a lot of potential. Pay real close attention to how body lines, bumpers, etc all line up and work together so you have a seamless integration and not a frankenstein. Work slow and don't be afraid to do things over till it's right.
Fun project. Glenn
Allright. It's cool. and with near 1/4 million C3s on the road today, one less ain't gonna hurt anybody. The amount of time it's gonna take to get ti to work is going to more then cover any critisizem that might get said about the idea. Go for it . will be one of a kind,, for sure!
I made the mistake of failing to kiss A during the first phase of this "idea." Get ready for the name calling.
Compliments only, please.
On the positive side, the guy is talented.
I can't tell how much flack that I have taken over my project!(and it was junk to start with.)It made me work harder and dig deeper into my concept. One thing that I can tell you is as the car comes around ,so does the critics.I have had alot of people change their mind on it,and so will you if you see it through. They tend to freak during the cut and mold stages, and it's understandable cause the car will look worse before it gets better. The day will come when you can roll it into a show and watch it draw the people in.
IT"S WORTH IT! Keep pushin on. We are watching!
