Default RE: My 68 Pics

I have been wanting to share pics of my car for a while, I just opened a a photo bucket account and I thought I would give it a try. Here is my 68 I found in a barn a couple of years ago. After many dollars, buckets of sweat this is the outcome. Not too many Mosport Green 68's running around I bet ? This is a true 427 tri power 435 car now with alum heads and an L-88 bump stick, 4:10 Gears, a 5 speed TKO OD tranny with plenty of HP. Your comments good or bad are invited. Thanks for looking.

That thing has an awesome look to it! Were the flares and all done when you found it or did you add those? Looks very cool.

The flares were already there. This car had been road raced at some point in it's life. Those are some of the original L-88 off road flares that were one time offered accross the counter at the dealers. The car was in sad shape when I found it, the body had sat for more than 15 years the engine had been rebuilt about seven years before I found the car, it had maybe a 100 miles on the rebuild. I removed 2 five gallon buckets of acorns, pine stray and leaves from the interior of the car. Apparently the interior had been an apartment for some of the local varments.

What a great looking car.

I now know how I want my 73 454 engine compartment to look. I like how clean that is, and everthing is organized. I printed out the engine shot so that I can tape it to my 73 windshield as inspiration when I work on it.

thanks,
kdf
