Default A perfect world

...Just came back from my saturday night cruise, a little window of freedom from the everyday work/family/poses...engine went smooth and vigorous, its sound told me to keep going at every crank rev, night was pretty fresh and challengers were even happy to be beaten, friends, sound, vibrations and friendly attitudes, even in the darker spot of a september night.

then, honey..I'm home!!

isnt this a perfect world?

Man do I know the feeling. Even after 31 years of ownership I still get off driving my Vette as much as I did back when I was a young punk.......

And mine is just a mostly stock '76............

Well, I wasn't out racin' but the family had a nice night with the vette last night. We went over to a marina where our friends keep their boat. My son and I went in the Vette and my wife and daughter drove our Caliber. We cooked up some dinner and the kids fished from the dock. At the end of the night my wife and daughter drove the Vette home and Everette and I got the Caliber. My wife even smoked the tires pulling out of the marina. That was cool. It was a great night. That car has become a member of the family. We all love it.

Life is good!!!

Tomorrow I got to do some other stuff and then Monday back to the vette, still trying to get it to the point of fireing it up to break in the cam Monday

Glad ya had fun!

Hey SIXFOOTER,
Hope you had fun working on it. Believe me, I have a ton of work to do on ours. It's going to have to wait until winter though. It won't be long before we will have 6" of snow on the ground and you will be out driving yours. It all comes out even in the end.

I know what you mean! Had the Vette out early this morning. There is less traffic in the morning and the air is cool. Took it out for a spin and really had fun running through the gears. I pulled in to a station to get gas and a couple of young guys in a Jeep came over and asked a million questions about what year, engine, etc.

Driving with the top down on a hot summer night is the best though. Air rushing around, sound of the engine, dash board lights... can't beat it!!
