#1 is too high, #2 a little too low, IMHO. How did you lower it? I need to lower mine, but cutting the spring makes it (the spring) stiffer which I want to avoid.
Thanks!
I have VBP 460 springs. I cut them and I can't say with cutting them that the ride is any different. I had gymkhana factory spring and the ride is much better this way. The factory springs would break your teeth, because the ride was so stiff.
Since I lower the car, I am going to remount my C6 Zo6 wheel and see how that looks.

Oh please NO. It needs rims with a lip. The calipers are still going to be 6 feet from the rims. Save yourself the time and sell that rim.
Rather than lowering the rear or the car, put on taller rear tires and see how that looks.
There is a beautiful yellow vette w/17-18 and it looks very nice.
#2 Definitely, I'm in the process of trying to get my a$$ another inch lower also. I have 8" bolts with the steel 7 leaf spring and it's too high, gonna get the VB&P 360 lb. monospring and smart struts this winter and see how that goes. I have their 550 lb springs in the front and it sits at 26.5" while the rear is still at 28.5", if I can even get it to 27.5" in the rear I'll take it.
Hard to tell. The tops are on in the one and it's parked on different spots with different angles. Get me two identcal pictures, except for the springs.
But ya, #2 if you can live with scraping everywhere, because it definately looks better.
No, the suspension is way too stiff. I loosened it to the 2nd from the end (softer) bolt on the VB&P performance plus package. Much better ride than it was on the stiffer end, but still pretty harsh. I guess the poly body mounts and bushings don't help any!
I like #1 stance much better. To me the space between the tire edge and fender edge should be even all around. With the wheels up higher in the wheel wells it looks like your springs are shot.

A lowered stance (to a point) is what you'd see on most well prepared road race Vettes, and well prepared racers don't run around on shot springs. So, as long as it's on purpose, that's an aggressive performance look rather than an indication of an owner's failure to address a problem.
IMSPEO, I've always felt many C3's have excessive clearance above the top of the tires, as if Bubba's 4x4 shop set it up to clear the stumps in his front yard.
If you have this unattractive and embarrassing problem, take heed, because you don't have to live with it any longer. There's plenty of us on here who can guide you thru the process of getting rid of that funky look.
Should you be among those who keep telling yourselves that it looks good for a C3 be unnaturally hiked up, for the sake of the rest of us who have to avert our eyes to keep from seeing all that unsightly inner fender well exposure, at least check it against the factory correct trim heights for your model, taking your current tires into account.
