What, you don't want to do it all yourself?

start calling local car shops and see who they recommend. You will probably have to break the work up over two or three shops.

You would get better info if you filled in your profile/location...

Location? There is no headliner in Vettes, just T-tops and plastic liners on the earlier models.

My suggestion is to leave her stock. She'll be worth more at resale time.

With all respect, I disagree. It is your Vette. Do whatever you want with it and enjoy it. It will be many years before a 79 goes up enough in value to justify doing no modifications.

That was my plan when I bought my '77, so I bought a new crate motor, installed fuel injection, put an overdrive transmission in, and now this winter I am making my own fiberglass dash with new autometer gauges.

Best customization is to double its power and reduce of one third its weight with the result of going twice faster.

simple
