The 68 is the only C3 you can open without leaving fingerprints on those damn flaps. Plus unless somebody else opens my doors you'll never see those flaps stuck down either.

IT'S BEEN 40 YEARS ! How long does it take to fix a few problems that surfaced in a new production model. I love my 68 with all of the one year only items and sold a 67 convertible with the intentions of looking specifically for a 68. Wouldn't trade it for any other year. 68 and 69 are the only years with the gilles in the front fenders.

Opening the doors like this never leaves prints.
I use a tie-wrap to pop the flaps back up after the trips to the painters as they never remember. It's easier using a larger tie-wrap than the one pictured.
