Got a custom interior (door tag confirms this) as well as having wood grain accents, carpets, etc on doors. Only thing is I have the plain black console on my 75. Was this a legitimate combination or should I add the console wood insert back on again?
I also have a '75 custom interior and YES do put wood grain accent
on the shifter console. It comes as one piece and just sticks on. Just
be sure the console is extremely clean or else it will not stick.
Howza 'bout a picture, Console Dudes? Graphic representation is always a plus when customizing is applied. Sounds intriguing and I'm sure we'd appreciated a look. Those stock consoles do look a bit bleak and spartan....
I made mine out of balsa wood when I replaced aged orignal wood back in the day (1973) on a 70 couple. I cut to size, stained, and put shelac
on it to proper sheen ... looked factory and was very cheap to do. This was before the repo market was in full swing. saving to do now, not sure? satisfaction priceless for your ego of doing it yourself
