Good Buy?
I've got a chance to buy a 69 Coupe. Its just been repainted (not bad, not perfect) Rebuilt 350/300 non matching numbers, AC,PS,PB,PW,Tilt, Auto,73k. Car runs and drives well. Riverside gold/ black int. needs Radio, carpet and minor freshing up in interior but not bad. $16,500. Any thoughts as to whether this makes sense or not. I like the car and it's the year my wife wants.

It's no steal. A non-matching base motor auto trans coupe in the condition you destribed it iffy at that price. The are factors like the bird cage and frame rust, the suspension condition, etc. Pics?

Price is not totally out of reason for a really nice '69 with correct fresh paint. If you've looked around a lot and the price seems reasonable compared with other cars....and you really like it....haggle over the price and see what happens. If you haven't looked around all that much, keep looking; when you have an adequate level of "search experience", you won't need to ask the forum if it's a good deal.
