The inspection sticker ran out while the car was down for the front bumper cover replacement. I only put the plate on for the inspection. As soon as I can I put the center grille back on. I hate the look of the car with the plate on the front. I carry the front plate with me in case I get stopped by the local "constables". A couple of times i forgot to put in on for the inspection and got away with it. The inspector didn't notice it missing. They were too busy looking under the car at the exhaust.
I live in Massachusetts and I don't use a front plate.
I act real stupid and say, "Where is there a space for the front plate? There's no bracket" (I took it off) and they give me my sticker.
Sometimes you gotta play dumb, worked for me for the last 35 years I have owned my Corvette.
Nice plate by the way: I like that Chevy 1

I dont drive my C3s that much, mainly on the weekends, so I have decorative plates on the front.
On my C4 however, since it is a daily driver, I keep the front plate on. I figure any thing that may lower my chances of being pulled over is for the better.

Kut< It took me 17 years to get that vanity plate, it is guite a long story. They will have to pry it from grasp on my death bed.
Ohio is also a two plate state. Many seem to get away with only one plate, but if you get caught for it playing dumb won't help you......either you get ticketed on the spot, or you get a warning with a time limit in which you MUST make the correction and show the proof, regardless of what bracket you must buy and or much trouble it is to install it.
Oh, and if you carry the front plate in the car or put it near the front window, you still get ticketed or warned for "improper display" and and must remedy the situation.
