That spot in the shielding...ie the "hole".....if i look in there with a mirror I see a metal strip sticking out from a circle. It doesn't look like an electrical connection but it is really hard to see and it could be.

If that is where the connector goes there doesn't seem to be any way I can push it in there...it's too deep and working blind

A metal strip? Or a blade connector for the plug to slide onto?

Remove the wing-nuts and the shield (from under the car, much easier) so you can actually see, and then replace them after you decide what you want to do.

I think if it's going to be a PITA, and you're not using the TCS anyway, then just get a wire tie and hide the green wire somewhere by the ac/heater core.

At least you now know what it's supposed to go to.

This could be a case of make the drawing fit the already made up wiring harness.Just a thought.
Maybe someone else with a 70 can post a wiring harness drawing out of another 70 AIM or 70 shop manual.

That may be exactly what I end up doing.But now I know where it goes and what it does.....better than not knowing!
