Default car sits crooked

The rear end of my car sits 1" crooked. From the top of the wheel well to the ground is 1" different one side to the other. The body mounts appear to be OK. The car was hit at one time. I'm not doing a body off frame straightening right now. I just want it to sit straight. I adjusted my extended rear spring bolts 1" different one side to the other. It only gave my 1/2 of improvement, but that'a good. I just installed a heavy-duty rear spring and some other performance upgrades. I am concerned because the spring is flexing totally different on each side because of the way I have it adjusted. It is much more compressed on one side. I am drag racing this car and I wonder if this is safe. The car does seem to lunge to one side when I shift. Is there a better way to adjust my out of straight condition without twisting my spring to do it?
Thanks guys.

Take it to a body shop and see if they have any suggestions for frame straightening with the body still on the car. It may be a long shot but it's worth the consult. Personally, I would not mess with driving a car with bad frame dynamics and tweeked suspension parts.

GM considered 1/2 inch variance in ride height from one side to the other to be within specs. Some new owners back in the day found this out when they complained. Your problem could even be with the springs in the front. As long as you have checked out the frame and suspension components I would not consider the 1/2 inch variance to be a safety issue.

I would measure from the floor to the frame first on all 4 corners on a known good level surface to see what is gong on. It could be that being off in the front opposite corner and adjusting to correct there may make a big difference in the rear measurement also. Most of these cars I have seen appear to lean to the left/drivers side slightly.
