Default Seat Removal

Was hoping to get info on removing drivers seat for repair when I store my car for winter. Is there any tricks to it? Driver's side has a rip in it and the apholstry shop will fix it for $150.00. Want to have it repaired over winter and ready to go in spring. Thanks for your help.

VERY easy. Two bolts in the back with the seat slid forward, unclip the seatbelt warning warning light lead.

Slide the seat all the way back and then remove the front two bolts.

Then, just lift up, and work the seat out carefully. Don't let the tracks catch or rip anything.

Collect loose change from under seat and buy yourself a beer.

The "tricks" aren't in getting the seats OUT of the car....they are for taking the seats apart to re-cover them. Ask again, if you need tips on that.

They are 7/16" hex head [grade 8] bolts. You may have to get in the seat and use "body momentum" to slide the seat forward as much as possible to get at the back bolts.
