How about some rolling chassis pics
the goal is to get the rolling chassis done by Christmas so that santa can drop the engine in for me. can you post some pics of your restored rolling chassis? i will be taking pics over the restoration so can post them for the forum.

Everything my wrench touches on this snaps off....what a rustbucket!!

Having fun at the sandblasters...its tiring holding on to that knozzle for an hr with a 200hp compressor driving it!

Sprayed with ppg dp90, welds seam sealed and oil sprayed inside

Almost ready for the body again

Can hardly wait to hear it run with the new Magnaflows and 2.5"exhaust & headers

i've never done a frame-off or even driven a vette so lots of challenges ahead
Christmas to get the rolling chassis done may be a dream but need a goal. these pics are helpful.
Good luck with your project.
My 81 tube frame roller before completion:
My chassis is under my little 81 Street Machine. I finished it about a month ago and have been working out the kinks and driving/showing it. But I've also done several frame-offs using stock chassis'. Below is a 63 I just finished last year and Top-Flighted in it's first outing at a National NCRS meet.
The pics and info you see above demonstrate that there are all kinds of ways to go. Either returning the chassis and drivetrain as close as possible to it's original factory configuration, or swapping out everything and going with something more radical. And of course, everything in between.
Whichever way you go, have fun, take your time, and you will enjoy the results.

A 63 frame-off. Although a C2 I did last year, same principle applies. Hopefully more inspiration.

Its great to see the quality of your work for your first frame-off. My problem is patience (with any project or anything) so this will be a challenge. Do you know how many hours you had into it before dropping the engine? My frame is already stripped and apart so will start with painting with POR-15 in a few weeks. Your finished car looks great too
Your 63 looks great and a fuelie to boot - love C2s but could not find one on my budget with matching numbers. My car is the conv 427/400 with a/c and matching numbers so i plan to keep it close to correct on the restore, but will be driving it so it will not be a concourse restoration. The good thing is that i had the engine rebuilt and balanced already so it is ready to drop on the frame already - this will give me some incentive to get my a**s*s moving
I was really impressed how many members posted pics of their cars - seems like a great group of people. Thanks everyone again. I'll post some pics of my car in pieces
when it gets to me in a few weeks. Dan

My signature picture is the car before I started ...
It will get final paint and reassembly begining this week.
I have nearly 500 hours into the complete rolling chasis - it includes the engine/trans/rear rebuilds, frame strip/paint, suspension rebuild/replating etc....
