There is one like this up the block from me and it does look sweet
I have been thinking of changing my black 69 vert's color as it was Monaco Orange when new.
I would also like to know what primmer you end up using and how many coats of paint.
I should have some finished pics of the paint in a few days. Car has been at the shop waiting for me to prepare my garage for the next steps when I bring it home.
Need to finish the outdoor shed to make room in the garage for the reassembly process.
Man when you get into this stuff it never ends. I can only imagine what a complete body off frame resto involves. I'll be off from work so I can make a lot more progress than just the weekends.
Any chance you can point me to the photoshop pictures of a C3 is Atomic and Daytona Sunset oranges? I'm seriously considering these colors for my '72 when I repaint... With black motion stripes!!!

Love the color, im not an orange fan but the atomic orange is awesome. Just FYI, in the C6 circles they call it AO (atomic orange) hahaha. They shorten everything down.
For instance I have a new Corvette that is machine silver with the automatic. They would type the following to describe what I just wrote: 08 C6 MS A6 . hahaha, just one of the differences from scanning the C6 forum and C3 forum.

nothing like the smell of a new paint job, looking good
body offs are very involved but fun, for me the hard part is staying motivated for that long
I love the color, should look great on your 73. I was glad to see the daytona orange when it came out and even happier when I saw the atomic.
Does any one have pics of the new lemans blue on a c3. I have a 73 vert restoration in progress. The original color was dark blue, but I love the new lemans. I thought about starting a new tread but would rather give this one a bump.
Looks fantastic. I wish I had had the guts to do mine already. Starting the stripping work now and hope to do my 69 Coupe with either Atomic or Daytona Sunset.
If you have final pics (larger size) that I could get with the chrome back on the car, I would love to see them.
You sold me on sucking it up and going that path though.
Any other hints/tips for the color or painting process?
Damn, that Atomic is beautiful- but I'm a little torn with the previous year's Daytona Sunset too.

I even found a side by side shot of both colors to compare. The Atomic Orange is a little more of a true orange. But both are great colors.
