Atomic Orange C3
Entering the final stages for my paint job on the 73. As some of you know, I went with some feedback from CF and chose the Atomic Orange Metallic. It was hard seeing this color on a 2008 Z06 and trying to picture it on my C3. But thanks to some creative Photoshop work by Polo1134 and the picture by MacoShark72, I was sold on teh idea.
Here's some work in progress shots. And just as the picture of a Z06 in Atomic Orange, you can't see the real beauty unless you see it in person. Amazing what a little sunlight does to this color vs. an inside shot. Looks like two different colors and they both look great!

I'm doing a 69 vert for a forum member,and it is going atomic orange.I haven't gotten the car in paint,but did the engine,and accents on the rearend.I wasn't too crazy at first,especially in my dark shop,but after pushing the car out to clean the shop,and the sun hit the color on the valve covers,and block.....................AWESOME color!Please,post pics when it is all back together.Looks great,bud!

I love the color! Especially since mine is supposed to be Ontario Orange and will eventually be brought back to her original beauty in a few years.

I'm assuming this is a water-based paint? Do you still need a fresh air breathing supply for painting? Can you give a ballpark estimate of the cost of materials?
I was just talking to my son about this color for the 72 - the original Ontario Orange is getting tired and the new color would go great with the updated mechanical theme of the car. Thanks.

Although this is a 2-stage paint with just a base and clear, it does some incredible things with light.
At times it looks like a pearl in the light. Some angles it looks more copper and others more orange.
Since my 73 was originally orange, this was a great color choice. Pictures just do not show the color off as bright as in person.
I'll post plenty of pictures as I'm putting it back together.

I think this color is going to be awesome on the C3. Nice choice in colors. Not something you see everyday.

Can't wait to see the final product. I still haven't seen one up close in person yet. Think I drove by one on a lot but couldn't stop to inspect. When the color first came out I thought about it for when it's time to repaint my Ontario Orange 72. Glad to see someone else beat me to it. How ling til she's all done?
