Default Steering Wheels

I've searched the site, but haven't found the answer. Anyone know if a 16" 66/67 steering wheel will bolt right to a 69 hub?

Why would you want to go to a larger diameter steering wheel? Already tight in there. Just curious.

I like the look of the wood wheel and I thought the deeper dish might give me a little more leg room. (6' 4" with a 4speed)

the problem comes from the older wheel 66/67& 68, BTW, the hub had a notch in it for the bottom spoke of the wheel, the 69 & up doesnt. you will have to mod your hub slightly to get it to fit right. other that that though, giddy up

this is a 67 hub, you can see the notch at te 7 oclock position

dont know about more leg room , but the wheel will be closere to you lap for sure,

I sort of climb into my 68

If you're not against installing an aftermarket wheel, you could consider one of Grant's Corvette Series Mahogany wheels. It has a shallow dish, but the smaller diameter may help with leg room.

I have model #794, and am very happy with it:

Unfotunately not, Ive never done it nor have i seen it done,

and as far a using a 67 hub, you would also have to change the horn set up to account for the older style, shouldnt be impossible as long as tyou have all the right pices, but like i say I never put much thought into it.

I like the grant wheel aboyve, but in my case i would have to "fill" in the space to make the wheel work

cheers
