For those of us in the north regions, winter is just around the corner. When do you park your car for a winter nap.
I park ours the same time each year regardless of the weather, Thanksgiving day, which means tomorrow here in Canada. The garage furnace is checked, cars are washed, oil changed, gas tanks filled, carpet is laid down on the floor. Busy day ahead.
Moved from Philly 15 years ago. I have 2 toys. My Vette and my boat. it sucked that I could only use them in the spring and summer!!! Here in, God Bless Texas, i can play all year round!!!!!

You Cannucks have Thanksgiving Day??? What the heck is that all about???
*IF* mine was drivable, I would drive it all year long, but then that was one of the reasons I left Canada and moved to California. I still have a little sister living in Ottawa and she is putting away her Harley about now, something about frostbite and fingers.
In this part of the South we have little snow which usually melts by
noon. Worst problem is ice storms where everything closes down for
2-3 days. So, for the most part can drive year round.
..... when I lived in Taxylvaniastan, I parked the car the last day of November, and took it out (weather, salt, and pot-holes permitting ) on 1 February, often right at midnight, when my insurance kicked-in:
now that we're in Florida, it's year-round, 'cept for the fact I'm taking it off the streets soon.....
None-the-less, you can't win a race on 3 March up-North!
I never 'Put it away for the winter". We frequently have decent sunny days to go for a nice cruise. Doesn't have to be real warm - the C3s have that built in Passenger Climate Convenience Package - As long as you like HOT!!! So winter in the NE is OK as long as the roads are clean & clear!

You never know when a good day will come around. I was riding my bike last New years day it was 60 degrees out. If it is nice and the roads are clear no reason to not take it out for a drive.
I just kept moving south. Spent the Wonder Break years in Motown, schooled in Hotlanta, and settled in North Florida- Land of Bugs you can play Polo aboard, but also ride Harley's and drive Le Corvettes year-round, Baby!! Now, excuse me while I slap at these bugs....
you guys are luck....up here 8 month are snow....first snow fall...might be as early as October or as late as december. we never know and last snow fall is usually in may. Carzy Saskatchewan weather. last time i put my car away, it never came out for 5 years.

Just thought I'd highlight the part a lot of ya'll seemed to miss.
This is my first Vette, but not my first sports car. In Illinois it is hard to predict when winter will set in. I keep the garage ready, and continue to drive as long as the whether permits. When the first snowfall is predicted, I do all the work (oil change, full take of gas, fuel stabilizer) and put it away. I then start is once a week and let it run so that the engine doesn't go all winter without being started.
