Default What to look for

Hey guys, looking to buy a c3 here soon and was wondering what are the problem areas I need to check when looking. Any help would be great thanks.

Rust, watch out for rust in the frame, birdcage, and windshield frame.

Pay close attention to the paint,a Vette paint job costs a fortune nowadays!

As mentioned the frame and birdcage must be checked for rust. Also look at the overall quality of the fiberglass.

If the car hasn't been restored, chances are that anything made of rubber will be deteriorated. Look at the suspension bushings, brake hoses, fuel hoses, etc. to get an idea of what you are going to need to do. If the engine is original and high milage, expect a worn out cam and plan on a valve job.
