It is a 69 BB looks like and sounds like it's in good shape. The price is listed at $5000. I emailed him, thinking he left off a 1 or a 2 in the front of the price. He came back with the whole WorldPay scam deal. You know, he had to suddenly move to Germany blah blah blah, pay him 1/2 for deposit, he sends car, I send other half.
So I call his bluff and ask for more pics and such. He comes back saying the car is at the shipper, so I can't see it, but give him my info and he'll send it to me in 1 - 2 days. I email back saying "No money until VIN and pics." Today he comes back to me with 10 pictures, and a VIN number.
My question is, how do I find out whose car this really is, and can I do anything to get this scumbag?
It's a scam. I saw the same car posted on the Boston craigslist...same price, same pictures, etc. A few days later someone posted another add on Boston craigslist saying it was a scam. I was going to provide a link but it looks like both have since been removed.
I don't think it's the same car as CuisinVette's. I realize its a scam, but it kinda makes me mad that people do this. But I suppose there's nothing a guy can do about it.
