Default Fuel Door Emblem

Hey folks,
A quick, simple question.
I just got a replacement badge for the fuel door on my '77.
The door must be a replacement as it has no holes in it.
Is the emblem supposed to go dead center on the door?
Thanks,
Kenny Z.

I just measured mine on my original '77. Find the center of the "x" of the crossed flags and my measurements are from this: From the top of the fuel door to the center "x" is 3 1/8"; from the bottom of the fuel door to the center of the "x" is 2 5/8"; from either side of the fuel door to the center of the "x" is 2 7/8". I hope this helps as it is not "dead center". If you need for me to measure the actual holes that were drilled, let me know and I'll take my emblem off so I can get some accurate measurements. dabrogger
