I just purchased a 1978 C3 Corvette to start restoring. After a fun day of driving I couldn't find a switch to turn my headlights on Bright or to dim them. I thought the switch would be on the floor like the one you push with your foot. I looked down there under the carpet and I didnt find any loose wires or plug. Is the switch somewhere else or where can I find the wires to put one in?

I have a 78...it is on your steering column integrated with your turn signal lever...just pull it straight back for high or low beam...
Maybe not. In my red '77, the switch did not function, and I gave up thinking it was a dimmer too. Turned out the switch failed and once replaced it worked great.
If his switch does not work, as most people know to pull that lever, it's easy to assume its not the dimmer.
Thanks Durango. I tried the turn signal but it was real weak and didnt work so i thought it would be on the floor. Thanks for the help though. How did you replace the switch?
