Only one of two outcomes possible now. OP catching up and trying to clarify his original misteps. Or the mods jut booting it to the CORRECT section of the forum maybe? Think that could be taken care of? Purty please?
OP catching up and trying to clarify his original misteps.
No missteps. I just didn't feel the readers would care who the deed owner was, who the mail man was, what kind of milk was in the fridge or what the dog was doing in the back yard.
The thread was about a car, a sweet car. If people want to focus on other things then that's their deal and I misjudged a lot of guys I thought were auto enthusiasts when all I did was interrupt their time with Murder She Wrote and Matlock.
Matt,
No apologizes needed!
Most of us do appreciate a nice ride when we see it. Whatever time I spend in this Forum is in the C3 Sections and this is due to time constraints. No need to move this thread since there are hundreds of other threads in the C3 Area that have nothing at all to do with our Vettes.
Don't let the nay sayers get to you.
I hope the owner does take you out for a cruise and YES, post some additional pics when you have the opportunity.
Thanks...
nobody would have noticed the plate if it had a fly eye air cleaner and clear fuel lines.
funny how people think that blocking out the license plate (tag.. depending where you are) is going to protect their ride. you know... I can read every plate I see on the street.

Read the threads .... one mentioned blocking license plates - which I find a dumb thing to do in a picture. Heck if you ever drive an expensive car on the street it has to have a license plate - but you invariably find pictures on here and else where of the license plate blocked - like that's going to protect the car from being stolen or something. I don't get it.

Dont worry and dont let these goofy 2nd guessers get to you. You didnt do anything wrong, and it looks like some of these folks just like to pick arguments from the safety of their computer. You know my song "%*(^em all". Good pic..............LT
No, I wasnt looking to pick a fight via the computer if you were referring to me, I was merely stating my view on the situation , everyone else had one, why cant I ? Take it or leave it. I said previously that I was finished with this subject but some people enjoy stirring an overdone pot, this is the end of the line on this thread for me if ya got anything to add feel free to P.M. me or e-mail me. Nuff said see ya byeeeeee,,, Peace, Moosie
DB, I don't have a problem with you personally. I think you have a lot of good input at times around here.
However, I posted here before you made the clarification and I assure you that if I came home and found you snapping pics of my stuff, in my garage, without my permission or knowledge, I'd blow a gasket. You have no right to be in my space without my permission. I'm sorry that some people around here don't understand that logic but that's just the way it is.
Obviously you cleared up the misunderstanding and everything was fine. There should have been no issue after that. Yes, it's a nice car and I'd like to take it for a spin myself.
Just forget this thread exists and stop helping it along. You don't have to defend yourself around here constantly. Most people will keep at you just because you will constantly defend yourself. If you don't constantly post follow-up emails, they won't have anything to talk about. Just because somebody posts something that doesn't agree with your point of view doesn't mean it's a personal attack against you. We can and should disagree on things at times. This isn't personal.

I block my plates. Sure you can read it on the street. But my car is not on the street 24/7 like my unblocked plate would be here in the forum. This is a easy place for a thief to shop. Sure...you might not think it makes any sense..but my exposure on the street is a heck of a lot less than this forum. This place is like window shopping for a thief.

I have to somewhat agree. Why bother even responding to half the crap on here and any other public fourm for that matter. I ignore most of it. I take what I like and leave the rest. And I also agree that DB has some good input around here.
Can't...I'm afraid someone will sneak up and take a picture
BTW...I agree with Scootin' and Shino. You do post some good info at times. People wouldn't pick so much if you would acknowledge someone correcting you when you are wrong, and you are at times like everyone else, instead of skirting your reasoning in some of your answers

If some guy started snapping pics of my garage contents or the front of my house, I would be out the front door locked and loaded while my wife dialed 911. My dad would do the same. What are these people stupid?
Good grief..do you guys all live on Fantasy Island or what???
Pro thieves are notorious for taking pictures of possible targets before doing any jobs. It's easier to look at photos at your leisure than to sit in front of someone's driveway taking inventory. My garage door was NEVER left open when I had my car stored.
Even now my wife and I keep it closed unless we are entering or exiting.
Feckin illegals everywhere.....don't take a chance with anyone.
Cool car........seems some people here get all bent out of shape with a few pics as if you were taking pics of their wife or g/f naked in the shower
Speaking of older cars....I lived here for 9 years and a guy a few blocks aways from me has an old GTX in his driveway and I've been temped to knock and ask if he wants to sell it.
Agreed...it's not like you posted pics of his wife or anything.
Personally, I'd get a kick out of someone taking enough interest in my car to do the same. C'mon guys!

They are welcomed to check this plate. I haven't lived at this address in years. And I have put enough between this one and my current one, even I have a hard time keeping theme all straight.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
