C3 seat back removal HELP!

I am in the process of replacing the seats in my Pace Car. The problem I have encountered is the SEAT BACKS! The bottoms are no problem in removing but the backs will not come off. Sure could use some expert help on the procedure to remove the backs! Thanks......ED

Never tried the seat backs on that year, but on the 68's, once you undo the base and unscrew the seat release, the seat back should slide up with firm pressure on the bottom...

THANKS for the quick reply......but.....I do believe the seat back is fastened with some type of clips. I will, however, try your procedure and let ya know if I WON......or THE SEAT WON! Thanks again, by the way, you have a sweet looking vette!!!

Looks like it has some wires that hook on to a clip in the seat back.
