Hypothetical Value Question...
I have a lead on a local '71. It is a non-numbers matching 350 with Auto tranny.
Since its non-matching, would the value decrease even more if I switch it to a 4,5, or 6 speed tranny?

I don't think it would hurt the value at all since you are talking about a non-numbers matching to begin with. I think most people will prefer it more with a manual tranny. Besides, I'm a firm believer in doing what makes you happy with the car rather than worrying about what other people like and worrying too much about values. Buy it to enjoy it!

Thanks for the opinions...that is what I was thinking too.
I would be buying it for a "body-off" resto anyway, so I will have plenty of time to decide.
