I've never had a significant problem with any vendor though I always ask when the parts should arrive prior to providing my credit card info if I'm in a hurry. If you ask, you can make an informed decision, know what to expect.

ya know. i had a problem with a vendor.. i ordered a set or plug wires from the co. internet site. and i got the wrong wire. i didnt get the wires that were in the picture. they said they dont carry those wires said the wires they sent were the aftermarket wires.and they wanted me to pay to return them.. well to make a long story short...

i called my credit card co and filed a dispute. took a few pictures of the site and the wires and explained the story.. the credit card co gave me my money back.

im still waiting for the co to send for the wires...they are still here on the floor. but i got my money back.. Im not calling them anymore.. If they want there wires they can come get em.. =)

Ok im done.,

Ive been buying parts from CC for years. Built my 2 63's, my '58 and now have a spare bedroom full of parts for my '69, the vast majority of which are from CC. Their service has always been professional, the return policy excellent, and delivery very quick. I cannot be happier.

Occasionally they run into a part that simply is not available (C1 air cleaners a while back, front license bumperettes for awhile) where a part just stays on back order for a long time. The best thing to do is cancel and see if you can find it somewhere else, but most times no one has it. Not always.

The OP does sound like a newbie who overreacted a bit. If you are going to buy parts for Corvettes over the years, you need to learn just a little bit of patience.

I have ordered from CC several times, and while I do believe they "overestimate" back ordered parts delivery times, as every time I am given a ship date, I get the part early. I feel if this is the worst thing I have to say about them, they are doing pretty damn well. It is better to underpromise and overdeliver.

Most would complement us on that service.

We also have one of the best return policies in the field. Return your item and we'll give you a full refund.

We also have a price match policy. IF you find one of our competitors has it cheaper we'll match the price.

If you are still unsatisfied please PM me direct.

Dan, I have ordered from you guys in the past with success and will be ordering again since the new Canadian shipping improvements...BUT....still all this great service isn't enough, you need to drive around and pick up these parts that impatient customers aren't happy with so as to not inconvenience them in any way.

i have ordered prob about 5 times through cc and i live in australia. of those items four sales turned out what i wanted but with one i was totally unhappy with the part and service..funny when i complained i never heard a thing back from them so now i shop elsewhere. i never did like the way they would pack a tiny little part into a box that could carry a rear wheel bearing assembly anyway.when parts are being shipped that far it would make the cost extravagent.

Sounds like it was just 'one of those things'.

They do seem to list parts that others don't, but I too would like better shipping info from them. A good addition to their website would be something like Summit does. If it's not in stock & ready to go then the listing gives the anticipated ship date.

I have been ordering from CC for quite some time with excellent results. A complete 2" CC exhaust system for my 1967 was installed last summer with only minor tweaking needed.

Recently I had need of a fan clutch. I ordered on October 8 and was informed initially (e-mail) of a potential shipping date of October 20. It actually was shipped on October 11 and I received it on October 16. That was important as it gave me time to install it well before the winter commercial storage time of October 25.

This apparent anomaly in shipping times has happened before. Generally it is not of great importance as the parts are not crucial to the operation of the vehicle: they are more cosmetic. The policy might be one of managing expectations; overestimate the timing and then come through well within (sooner) the original timeframe. There might be a bit of a psychological twist to that but really I do not know. I would not hesitate to deal with CC again.

Never bought from CC so nothin good or bad to say. Tom check out Corvettes & Classics 577 Winthrop Street Taunton, MA 02780 Toll Free 877-464-6150. I have been buying my parts here and am very satisfied. They deal in new and used parts, guys are all helpful and knowledgable, and they also price match. I needed steering pump, power assist piston and all new lines for my 75. They had most parts in stock and the ones they didn't have I had within a week.

I've always been pleased with Corvette Central, but if I really need a part I call them up directly because they will know if it's in stock or not. On the internet there is no way of knowing if they have the part. Kathy

I have ordered from CC and I have had great luck with them and other vendors. Here's a tip

If you order from the internet or by phone. give it a day and call back and check on statis of order. All vendors will tell you then what is on B/O and what is shipping. What ever is on B/O cancel and find it from another vendor if you need it in a hurry. Get the persons name who gives you this information. If they ship the parts you cancelled, they will send you a pick up tag and pay the freight back. But you need the contacts name from the vendor so you can call them if they ship. I have done many times with no problems.

I have ordered more parts from Corvette Cental than I should ackowledge. In the past I've ordered from others as well, now it's Corvette Cental only if they have the part. Give them a break! They are the best.

I have been using these guys for over three years and have found them to provide excellent service. Remember no ones perfect. I'm glad to see all the other people jumped in to say a few good words.
