Default Parts supplier recomendations

I recently acquired a 1968 big block convertible that was a partially completed project car. When I acquired it the engine, transmission, rear end, all suspension and brakes were new and the body and paint work was complete. The car has not one bit of interior installed but I have everything new in boxes to upholster it as well as a new top. My questions are, the interior is all Al Knoch is this a good quality product?
I have been ordering the majority of the parts form Corvette Central that I want to finish the car off with. Eckler's and Corvette America are secondary suppliers. Any recommendations plus or minus? Also if those of you that have been down this road have recommendations for other good suppliers please clue me in.

I have been down the road on many Blue Oval projects but the Corvette world is a new one for me. Thank you for any information you care to pass along.

Many parts, such as interior upholstery and carpeting, come from Corvette America regardless of the reseller. In those cases, it's simply who has the best price.

I've found that for most things I needed, Corvette Central had the best overall prices. There's always the fact that one parts supplier has an exclusive on a part or a better price on an individual part or assembly than another supplier. Often one supplier will have a special for no cost shipping which is no small matter either.

Just for you to compare prices, get catalogs from Mid-America, Year One, Zip Products, and others...get on their mailing list for catalogs. Some are sponsors of this site and may give a discount for forum members.

For the nitty gritty hard to get parts other than Corvette Knick Knacks and t shirts etc. I used Doc Rebuid for restoring my 68 Coupe.
His prices are good and he has the stuff in stock unlike many other vendors who have reproductions or back orders. His catalog is great and is like an assembly manual with all the exploded drawings.
Good prices, fast shipping, and items in stock is a hard combination to beat. I am very impatient when I want parts, so I was happy with them because they usually shipped the same day I ordered and were at my door usually in 2 days.
Just my experience,
Kurt

Al Knoch has a very good reputation on the forum for supplying quality interiors. that you should shop around for parts, since they can be expensive. I have found that Doc Rebuild has some parts that others don't carry.
