I have a L-88 in my 88 FORUMLA350. If it was mine I would try to find a ZR-1 427 and have a super cool ride. (just wishing I could have that)

You might find the iron block/alum head L88 combo more durable (is there such a thing?) for the street if you plan on alot of driving (and I hope you are). See if Kinsler will set up the cross ram with EFI for better drivability as well. I know that thing has nice paint and expensive rims, but whatever BB winds up in it, it needs L88/ZL1 flares. /:\

Nice car. Interesting placement of the fuel filler? How does it attach to the tank?

That was our own design. The filler is attached to the cell via a racing fuel hose

That car looks sweet I saw it at Carlisle in August. The Smokey Yunik ZL-1 would go real well in it.

May be up your way this week to visit your shop.

My thoughts exactly only because the car is so blatently (OUTRAGEOUSLY COOL) retro that it begs to have something new style between the fenders to blow everyones mind away, but its yours and do what you wanna, it'll be cool either way So,,, Peace, Moosie

Hey Rex,
Some people collect stamps and coins some people even collect beer cans. You on the other hand horde all those neat BIG BLOCKS. I want to hang with you. Go old school my friend. That car sceams vintage. Whats in it for rear end gears?

Got a 4.11 gear. I'm REALLY leaning towards the Smokey Yunick ZL-1 with a new Kinsler crossram EFI. Man, you guys have really got me pumped about this. Thanks for everyone's input. Keep 'em coming.

Elimination of bumpers equals weight reduction, plus additional safety aspect of shedding a bumper in an accident.

What tranny is in there? M-22? Are those Hooker side mount headers & exhaust or original Kustom?

M-21, but i have an M-22 that I may put in. These are Hookers but I would like to find a set of original Kustoms or Stahls.

OK. I will be the bad guy in this thread. This car looks beautiful on a track. But you said you ar buying it for the street. You need to repaint it. Because as it is now, it looks like a giant rolling billboard. At least ricers decals are small. This car would be a joke on a street with all those decals!!!! And a Cop magnet!!!

Having any of the motors you have is awesome, but a ZL-1 with a Kinsler is a holy grail of sorts...its all of the bragging rights. Autogear makes the best M-22 box available...Stan's efforts wwere awesome, and I would love to see it one day. Enjoy one of the best 68's on the planet!

The racing theme is perfect for the street, and has been an idea of mine as well. I am sick and tired of the Cobra owners being able to throw their "competiton" legacy in my face with their little buggys. A sleek going to war looking C-3 like yours is long overdue.

I went L-88 with a Richmond 6...and 3.73's

Ok, look, the car is a race car re-creation so it needs to look like a race car.It is true to its roots from the interior to its paint job.I put 1000 street miles on this car over a season, and never got any laughs just thumbs up, a major magazine article and awards. And just in case any body had laughed I had 500 hp under the hood to back it up.

The decals are no bigger or more in quantity than a race car of the vintage.(go ahead and check there are a lot on this forum) NEVER GOT ANY ATTENTION FROM THE COPS.(and believe me they heard me coming.)

This car may not be for your taste buds but I certainly wouldnt call it a joke. As far as repainting it, if you saw the quality of the body and paint on this car in person I think you would change your mind. It is better than most. That is because that much work went into it.

Over all I dont think negativity toward other members cars is a cool thing.I dont like every single corvette I see and I know there are some that maybe deserve insults because they have been butchered but I dont think this is one of them.

Please no negative replies back. I dint join this forum for pissing contests.Just to be around other vette guys like my self and share info.

respectfuly, Stan
