ok.... so ive been putting off for awhile. the gf and i are gonna try to do this with your help! so please explain to us as if you talking to complete non comp folks, how to post a pic. thanks in advance

You know, I've read that post in the past and I got stuck on the idea that you have to first put your pix out on some hosting site, then retrieve them from there. I'm just not interested in investing that much time in maintaining pix out on some hosting site. Why can't you just browse for pix directly from your own computer? Or did I miss something?

You can't sent attachments from your personal computer to the forum. You need to use Photobucket or one of the other hosting sites. Don't ask me why, you just do.
The hosting sites are free and take a few moments to set up your account. I find it's good to use two browsers (Safari and Firefox) simultaneously so you can copy and paste quickly.

All photo hosting web sites have a some quick easy painless ftp (file transfer protocol) program to upload (as you are sending them up to their servers) pictures.

you just click the picture(s) you want to upload, click a button and it's done.

there's even a place you can upload photos to on corvette forum
