Default Engine Type MkIV or MkV
Hello,
I have a stock 73 454 big block car. I am doing some upgrades and restoration on this. One of the items that I need to replace is the dented up oil pan. When I go online to look at new pans, they say they will fit MkIV big blocks.

My question is what is a Chevrolet MkIV big block engine?

You have a MK4. Mk4's were late 60's to about 90, then the Mk5's came out with the one piece rear seal.
You can get a new one at Ecklers for about $115.
