Just another member of the numbers cult, scaring everyone away from buying a car that's even slightly modified. What is it with Corvettes? No one screams "sacrilege" when talking about (or selling) a modified Camaro, Firebird or Mustang - some of those bring as much or more than stock examples. When it's a Corvette, people go crazy if you don't have every little scrap of paper, including the previous owners' used napkins from the drive-in.
Thanks for posting this website, I hadn't seen or heard of it before. Very interesting and a well written article about the documentation on Corvettes.
As for the poster comments about scarying away potential buyers, that's nonsense. There are plenty of buyers who purchase Corvettes without regard to paperwork. There are plenty of Corvettes in stock or modified form that do not require paperwork to verify how built. Every ZQ3 ordered Corvette requires zero docs, from '68 thru '72 years.
