Glad to see that someone has found him. This forum is a good place, man. Some of the members might look real dumb and ugly, but they are nice guys.

If you have a job then why reply??? It was directed to burnt71 in giving him some options. Its not cold here. Just a little more rain than usual as we are getting into the winter season. We are only 1 1/2 hours from Seattle so you're ditching our weather then you're doing the same for Seattle. I guess you don't travel much....Unless you've come down the West Coast for a visit then make a constructed comment.

He can pay them himself when he can make 75.00 to 125.00 per hour and thats Canadian funds. If you think we wear long johns then maybe you should come down and visit and see for your self. You'll see all the pretty ladies wearing see through long johns.

Its rough up here guys. He'll need to put snow tires and chains on the Vette. All Canadian vettes come stock with block heaters and no A/C. Never a day without snow or ice on the roads. Things thawed out once about 65,000 years ago. Dam glacers came right back. The iglo's are nice though...spacious.

Hi Borat
Its not really rough here. We are talking about the West Coast. In Calgary and Sask and further east there is lots of snow. However I never seen too many chains on vettes or for that matter any vintage vette with chains on it. When the sun comes out everybody has the top down. I guess you don't know much about vettes but most newer vettes have A/C and the older ones who don't have it may have opted to not buy that option.
You're right about things being thawed. Up in the North Pole the ice is melting and when it all melts we are still high enough to miss the water flooding but I hope you're way up above sea level. Other wise your vette will be under water. I can sell you some float tubes???
Yea our iglo's are spacious but getting expensive. Average house is 500K and the nice ones are 1 million and up. I don't mind. At least we won't have forclosures like in the states is having. Come on down and I'll treat you to a frosty mug....bring chains if you're traveling over the mountains.

I thought canucks were supposed to be nice and friendly..it was a joke, lighten up!! unless it's the weather getting you down.. Of course since it has already been stated what he is doing (and it didn't involve canada) I guess my keeping tabs on him and relay him info etc. is doing something constructive.

P.S. Maybe you didn't read, he doesn't have a computer. not sure how he is supposed to get your offer.

I believe there's still work in the Katrina areas. My brother lives in NM & at some of the mountain resorts (his property was in Ruidoso) there's over a 2 year backlog for building. He gave up & bought a place with a cabin. Work is out there, although FL might not be the best place right now, except the weather is nice.

You know I'm just trying to help the guy out to on the forum. I'm sure Burnt 71 is okay and probably he knows there is a helping hand. I've helped a lot of guys with their cars and finding rare parts to finish their cars. Maybe I'm too proud to live in Vancouver. I do have a sense of humor. That is why I'm going green and using recycled restaurant deep fryer oil in my 68 L88. Its the same octane but maybe a little higher when the flames are firing out of the exhaust tips. Also I can use the wet noodles and dry them off at the end of the exhaust tips and resell it as dried noodles. What do you think??.......hmmmm I guess that was a dry sense of humor!! I'll stick to wet noodles in soup on a Rainy day like today and for the next 30 days and that is no joke. Also the canucks seem to be doing well but we'll see how long it lasts.

I was being sarcastic!!! I am from Canada. Actually Aurora, Ontario. Another poster had implied it was cold in BC...which it isn't.

I've been there lots of times. I have a friend who lives in West Vancouver...on the water...can't recall the name of that street.

Rent Borak. You'll get a kick out it.

I don't recommend going to New Orleans. That place is a wild west town now. Gulf coast towns still need lots of help. Helping them would do Burnt 71 and the locals a lot of good. An acquaintance of mine stepped off Bourbon street last summer, was mugged, kidnapped, held for 4 hours, then shot 7 times, stabbed six, left for dead. He survived and is recovering, but let that place ROT!

Hi Jim
Would that be Marine drive??? Well I wouldn't want to be a drug dealer here. There have been about 8 shootings and all fatal. No muggers but drug dealers shooting them selves. I think the drug dealers need to rent Borak.
I know in Ontario there is lots of snow and we don't use chains on the vettes. We use the Mini surf boards under each tire. THe harder it rains the better the surf ride we get on the roads. Surfs up!!!! Still raining outside. Slapping on the boards see you later.
