Maybe Scotch Guard Convertible Top treatment?
I used it on an Eclipse vert ones and it not only brightened up the material, it kept the water from soaking through like it did previous to the application.

If it is an Al Knoch top , it's probably just defective. They used to make top of the line products but not the case anymore. I just installed the second top from them and it was cut too small. The first top had the pads marked wrong and was too short. I've installed many of their tops in the past and they used to fit perfect every time. I sent them an email about the problem on Nov. 1 and they never even got back to me.
