seat belts?
Bought the car and the seat belts didnt move 
I pull the seats to find the roll up assembly rusted and froze. I remove the rust, it moves freely now but has no spring action in it, it wont work. Is there anyway to fix it... I cant see how. Or probably more likely, does anyone know a place to buy them at a good price. From what i see on the sights I looked at its around $300??

Or update to newer system. I used F-body belts from the rear seat of an 99 F-body car.

I got the retractor off with some gentle pursueding ...."then every bashing tool in my garage"

Now can i get a retractor that i can put the original belt into, or did i waste my time? Ive been looking through every site I can find, so if it is possible, links would be apriated

The belt (webbing) is designed to stretch in an accident. Once seat belts get old the webbing hardens and no longer stretches. It may look fine, but trust me it became useless years ago. Whatever way you go, be sure to replace the entire assembly including the actual belt.
Many racing sanctioning bodies require seat belt repacement every few years for this reason.
