ive come to a crossroads, (think metaphor throughout this whole post)
i love my "car" and ive been with this car for a year and 3 months, i have put a lot of time money and emotion in with it too, and there are times where i could drive it iff a cliff, and all of the sudden i see another "car" that i could "buy" (bad choise of words but you might understand) and i could be happier with this new car, but then again i could be WAY happier with this one, and if i let my old one go, i might never get the "car" back and i might make the hugest mistake of my life
i know that none of you probably care about it but i needed to vent/get another view on things, if you dont understand it, then at least i got it out

I can relate to that. Sort of the same way with my girlfriends. Only difference is I wish I still had all of the Corvettes I have owned. Oh well, down to three of each at present.

Is this "other" car better than the "vette"? Hard to comment unless we know about this other car is.
Is it faster?
Will you be able to hug the curves better?
Better curved than the vette?
Will it take you to your final destination quickly?
Will it be easy to fix with little maintenance required, or will it cost you more in the long run to maintain?
You don't want to regret it later.
Well, the whole point of being a "car" owner is the pleasure and satisfaction that owning the "car" brings you. You don't say if you "own" this vehicle or if it's just a "lease". Either way, if you aren't happy then you should sell this "car". Don't just run out and buy, or lease, another one. Test drive a bunch of them and pick one that truly does make you happy about driving it on a daily basis. Sometimes a flashy set of fenders can hide a puny little 4 cylinder. I almost forgot to ask. Are there any little "cars" involved in this? If so, you've got an obligation to them to not trade in on that sleeker model you've been looking at.
.... if i let my old one go, i might never get the "car" back and i might make the hugest mistake of my life

I know exactly how you feel anf what you mean, it happened to me with my fully modded '96 FXR harley, she (with me on...) was the Ducatis nightmere, i've put huge money, time and effort on her...then, suddenly i sold her. My wife told me ''i'll buy the bike if you need money for something else'' but dont sell her or you'll feel sorry forever.

yes there are 2 "cars" involved the one i hav, on a good day things are great! and i would feel horrible for even thinking about it, but on a bad day, hell opens up and other "cars" look great
the other "car", i have ONLY seen in the "parking lot"

All "cars" have good days and bad days. Too many bad days however are indicative of a soon needed major overhaul and results in increased likelihood of financial collapse. No longer than you have had the "car" your equity is probably low and the trade in value may still not cover the debt. The upside is, many of the new models are quite compatible in a multi-"car" garage. I made sure that option was available right after my most recent test drive.

I had a "daily driver" for 34 years that finally got cost prohibitive to maintain and no amount of wax would make it shine any more. Took a hell of a hit on the trade-in .... and that my friend is why I purchase cars and lease "cars".
