Movie Vettes
Here's a fairly stupid story...
I'm having power lines put underground along my property, a buddy is one of the crew, he asks to see my car. I bought her from a mutual friend some 8 years ago, he had bought it and parked in the garage, gonna fix it up thing. While talking, he says it sure dosn't look like it did in the movie, HUH! What is he talking about? Yea, that's why our friend bought it, thought it might be worth more some day. So I call my friend and he says yes, didn't I tell you. GEEEZUS Dean, you might have mentioned that little fact before I painted it a differant color. Aledgedly, it's one of the Vettes from Apollo 13, not the Tom Hanks car, it's a 70. He's trying to contact the guy he bought it from to find out what company he got it from...
So how the heck do I substantiate this? I know it doesn't make it worth any more, but it would be cool to say.....
I thought something was odd when the seatbelts were gone, blinker switch and fake radio where in it.

That is an interesting little morsel- I tease my kids that the first owner of mine was Mick Jagger! 
You could probably contact the film studio and see if they could validate with a paystub or rental receipt. They probably had a vin for insurance purposes. Good Luck with it!
