This guy deserves bad feedback but he will just leave me bad feedback and I dont deserve it. I heard theres a point at which you are locked out of leaving feedback. If I leave it right at that time then he cant get me back..
Yeah, like tit for tat,,,smite me, I smite you, one hand washs the other,
a lot of times they wont leave you feedback untill you leave it for them, sometimes its best not to leave any ,,, people will know why if they think about it. Peace,,,Moosie
Try to negotiate a return of the item less shipping if the item you received didn’t live up to the description of the sellers listing. This sometimes works if you have not already called them every name in the book. If that fails then leave a negative feedback. If the seller responds to your negative feedback and leaves you negative feedback, respond to there’s.
Most often a seller will include in the description of the listing AS IS NO RETURNS. Live and learn on E-Bay, ask questions before placing a bid and if the item you’re interested in is in anyway unclear to you ask more questions.
Good Luck!
If you can't get satisfaction directly from the seller, file a complaint thru ebay's dispute resolution center. It's the only way you can get him with a black mark that means anything to anybody at ebay. It worked twice for me, hope it works out for you as well.
Exactly, they need to change how the feedback works.
Once the buyer pays for an item the seller should be required to leave feedback, the buyer met their obligation long before the seller does.
That'd be great in a perfect world, but in my experience (I've got over 600 feedback as both a buyer and seller) buyers screw over the sellers way more often than sellers screwing over the buyers. I would never, never ever leave feedback for a buyer before they leave it for me. The deal is not over until they have the item and are happy with it, payment or not.

this is so right on, i am disputing with an auction item right now too, I paid the same day as the end of the auction and have waited a month... still no item and I know if I leave negative feedback they will hit me with the same... not really fair b/c I have done everything I was obligated to do and then some!!! File a dispute with Paypal if you paid through them... if not file it through ebay....

The seller will have 90 days to give feedback on you after you post your feedback. Both of you will not be locked out at the same time.

Is that for sure?
This guy posted a pic (of what I needed) then deep into the listing he put the different color. I didnt even know what it meant. He was just trying to get rid of something that wouldnt sell. Now he says I should have seen it. He also said to specify color. I did but I did it with an offer (which he accepted) and theres no trace of that. I sent it back after trying niceley to work it out. He kept sending me the same email over and over. "Our policy is bla bla bla.. Jack AZZ. As soon as I get my refund less the 15% restocking fee, I will post his name..

I do strongly agree. I just topped 160 at 100%, and going up. EBay WILL do everything they can to help.
The feedback system stinks. There is no "safe" point where you get to ding him with a negative and he can't get you back. And, while I'm sure you think you are in the right, I wouldn't want a point where only one person could do it but not the other... those in the "right" are not so absolute.
I've had several conversations with ebay regarding the threat that if I leave someone negative, that they will retaliate with one on me, obviously in my opinion undeserved. Their position is that some people will simply get some undeserved negatives from time to time if they do enough business, but people will pay more attention to the big picture. I have simply not left negative feedback because of this.
You can try mediation but it may or may not work. The system simply isn't perfect. I don't like the fact that you cannot get multiple feedbacks from the same trading partner... that makes no sense to me. Also, a feedback for a buyer of a $2 hockey puck counts the same as a buyer of a $50,000 automobile.

Feedback for buyers is about the speed of their payment.
Sellers that hold buyer feedback "hostage" are ebay terrorists, and the company is unwilling, if not unable to stop it.
"You better leave positive feedback for me first or I'll leave negative feedback for you".
That is absolute .
82 huh? Wow. The only thing BS is the quote at the end of this post.
"ebay terrorists" is the most ridiculous comment I've heard all day, and I guess I should expect that with someone with so little experience at this.
It's not a case of "you'd better leave positive or I'll leave a negative," it's "I'm going to withhold feedback until I see who I'm dealing with."
Feedback for buyers may be mostly about speed, (it's actually about much more) but the fact is buyers will let a seller leave positive feedback, and then feel free to rip the seller for absolutely the most ridiculous issues (no need to list there here.) Ive had plenty of buyers that were so out of line my only reaction was to not try to make them happy, just return the item. These people, once they have your feedback in hand, are 1000 times more arrogant and abrasive as THEY threaten negative feedback, knowing you cannot protect yourself. That's ebay terrorism, my friend.
Please don't pretend that buyers are any more moral or rightious than sellers (or vice versa).

Although I appreciate your input, well not really. You are the most negative person I have ever come across on CF. Seriously. Its amazing. Everytime I see you post its to tell someone how smart you are and stupid they are. Please for the love of humanity stay out of my posts.
I have 1 negative feedback from abuyer of a set of arm rest bases for a nova for 5 bucks and shipping the guy gave me bs after bs excuse why he hadnt sent payment so i left negative and reported him as non paying so the *** says i wouldt take paypal which i stated in the auction and puts a red mark on my account so i replied to his with waited 60 days for 10 bucks whatever loser!!!
the feedback system blows!!!

I believe so. I cant believe that the feedback window would close on both the seller and buyer at the same time.
1st. Feed back left for a buyer (you in this case) is based on payment. It was either made on time or not. That is easy for you to defend. I beleive if negative feedback is left you will be able to provide a response to challange that feed back. But the seller will be able to challange as well.
As for the seller , be fair and think it thru , but if he cheated you then leave feed back that reflects how this transaction played out.
