I've put enough $$$ into my vette that if it broke down i'd kick it in the nuts! err tailpipe
I think aside from the little tweaks and maintenance that goes along with owning a car that's 35 years old, it's been a good running car for the most part.

Mine has never broke down and left we stranded. I've taken it to Bowling Green and Hot Rod Power Tour. She loves to run 85 MPH. I bought the car April 2004 and did a frame on resto with mods. Spent way to much money but love the car.

In 7 years of ownership it has broken down once. That was my fault as I forgot to tighten the rotor and it exploded the distributor cap. Other than that I have put on 17K in miles during that time without a breakdown. I treat it with respect due a 38 year old car but I am not bashful to open it up and drive it.
