I dont have anything yet.. but may i suggest not doing these without getting some sort of projector headlight----
i cannot stand when people put HID bulbs into a normal headlight housing, u blind pretty much everyone on the road that way. Unless the housing was meant for that ie: early TL's and GS's

whatever you do dont get those cheesy blue tinted bulbs that you see on a bunch of civics. I guess they are supposed to look like projectors but they look like crap. and make you look like a tool. As for projectors i dont believe that they make any for a C3, Even if they do they are over a grand each, so do you realy want to have over 2K invested in headlights? I would suggest some Sylvania Silverstars. You can pick them up at any pep boys or autozone. I thought they were a gimmic untill i put some on my jeep, they make a HUGE difference, and you dont blind anyone on the road. I plan on getting some for my vette, but thats a ways down the road yet, good luck,
Steve

Thank you very much for the advice. I'll pick some up. Maybe some day down the road if I have lots of play money and do some of the panel redesign I've thought about, that'd be the time. Right now, I just need a headlight.
Silverstar doesn't have a bulb that fits the corvette C3. You will have to get a houseing that accepts a H4 bulb. This is the cheapest on I've found that isn't ebay. http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts.as...&partid=431044 If you want Hid's you will just have to get an h4 conversion. I will do this to my 76 so I will have pics when it's done. Here is a link to a guy that has already done it. https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...=225&TopicID=1

I got the Sylvania bulbs for my 82' low beams. Worked great and only about $10/pc as I recall. Definitely brighter than the ones that were in there. The Xenon kit from Speed Direct looks very well thought out, but at $430 for the full whack, there are other things that require those kind of resources. Plus I just exploded the output shaft on my T56

Lol, I have those blue lights on my 91 Civic HB. And yes, I know I look like a tool (came with the car). The car had a Japanese "racing" engine, lowered suspension, an Acura transmission, and a body kit. I trashed all of it for stock except the engine / trans. It still looks like crap and almost sounds like a fartcan muffler (not as bad though), but it gets 33mpg hauling all my crap around and I paid $1000 for it.
I think you guys are going to find out that you have to cut the headlight buckets to allow for the HID bulb rubber boot to fit. at least that's what I encountered when I bought a conversion set for the '82.. I didn't want to get into all that, so I returned them and opted for brighter halogens.
Let us know how those work out. I like the look, but don't want to cut my housings...
I cut my housings. It was easy with a Dremel, and didn't hurt the car or look of the car one bit. Even going back to stock bulbs is easy and no one would ever know cuts were made.
I think the unique look of the halos really added something well worth the cutting of the buckets.
Hi:
No. But i did do the H4 conversion on my '80, which required no modification at all. It makes a big difference. I found a set of 4 H4 Housings with the bulbs for $44 plus shipping on ebay.
