Brake Booster Not Functioning
Just changed my master cylinder and blead the system out on my 1975 Corvette. Pedal is rock solid and car stops great. Only problem is the brake booster. I replaced the booster about 3 years ago and it never really did feel like it did a good job. Now I am pretty sure that the booster is broken, when I step on the brakes the engine revs increases, car is a manual by the way. Car still stops great as long as you have a strong leg. I am planning on hydro boosting in the near future. As a temporary solution, I was wondering if anyone has ever attached the brake booster pushrod/clevis to the manual brake hole on the brake pedal? I just looked at pictures last night on some old posts and haven't crawled under the dash to take a look yet. I am trying to figure out if this will create too radical of an angle.

The hole is a lot higher on the arm, and while it's possible, the pedal rod would be a hard angle and may bind. It's worth a shot.
